Multiplayer Replays
Multiplayer Replays lets you rewatch supported Rebit sessions in the browser, follow every player screen, and move through the recorded timeline.
The replay rebuilds the session from its recorded inputs, so you can revisit a race, battle, trade, or co-op run without recording a video yourself.
When a Replay Is Available
Rebit records replays only for supported multiplayer modes. A replay becomes available after the room ends and its capture finishes uploading.
You may not receive a replay when:
- The room used a multiplayer mode that does not support replays.
- The host closed the game before the capture finished uploading.
- The session ended before Rebit had enough trustworthy data to save.
- A required game file is no longer available.
Open a Replay
- Sign in with the same Rebit account you used in the multiplayer room.
- Open the replay link when Rebit presents one for the finished session.
- Wait while Rebit prepares the recorded session and its player screens.
- Select Play.
Replay links are private. They open only for the room host, a signed-in participant, or a Rebit administrator.
Use the Replay Viewer
- Select Play or Pause to control playback.
- Select Restart to return to the beginning.
- Drag the timeline to move to another point in the session.
- Choose All players to watch every recorded screen together.
- Choose one player or seat to focus on a single screen.
Seeking a long replay can take a moment because Rebit rebuilds the session up to the selected point.
Understand Replay Status
Rebit checks the replay while it runs and shows one of these results:
- Replay verified: Playback reached the recorded ending and the supported final state checks matched.
- Replay unverified: Playback has not reached the end yet, or a supported final check was not available.
- Partial capture: The replay ends at the last trustworthy point instead of the original end of the room.
- Desync detected: Playback no longer matches the recorded session. The viewer stops rather than showing an unreliable result.
A partial replay can still be useful. Its notice explains why the rest of the session is unavailable.
Privacy and Game Files
Replays are not public videos. Rebit checks your account before serving the replay, and the viewer needs the exact game files used by the recorded seats to rebuild the session.
Rebit does not provide game downloads. Every player must use game files they are legally allowed to use.
Replay Troubleshooting
- Sign-in requested: Sign in with the account that hosted or joined the room, then reopen the link.
- Permission denied: Confirm you are using the same account that participated in the session.
- Replay unavailable: The capture or one of its exact game files can no longer be loaded.
- Playback error: Refresh the page once. If it fails again, the saved capture may be incomplete or incompatible.
- Desync detected: The replay could not reproduce the recorded final state reliably. There is no setting that can repair that capture.
