Amiga
Play Commodore Amiga games in Rebit, add your own Kickstart BIOS files, switch disks, and keep disk-based saves. Amiga support is currently beta.
Add an Amiga Game
- Open Upload.
- Choose Commodore Amiga (Beta) under System.
- Choose your game files and select Upload ROM.
- Open the game from Library and select Play Now.
Supported files include .adf, .adz, .dms, and .lha. For a game with several disks, select its disk files together or upload a ZIP containing the set. An .m3u playlist can specify disk order; include the disk files it names. A playlist alone does not contain the game.
Add Kickstart BIOS Files
Rebit includes an AROS fallback, but some games need an original Kickstart ROM for compatibility.
- Open an Amiga game.
- Open the in-game menu and select Cores.
- Find Amiga Kickstart BIOS.
- Select Add Kickstart files and choose BIOS files you are allowed to use.
- Reopen the game to use them.
BIOS files stay on this device. They do not sync with your Rebit account, so add them separately on another device or browser. Remove stored BIOS files removes the local copies; reopen the game after changing them.
Switch Disks
For a game uploaded with multiple disks:
- Wait until the game asks for another disk.
- Open the in-game menu and select Disk Drive.
- Select the requested disk and wait for the switch to finish.
- Return to the game and continue as its prompt directs.
If Disk Drive is missing, check that you uploaded the disks together as one game.
Keep Your Progress
Use the game's own save command, then Export In-Game Save to keep its disk changes in Rebit. A save state also preserves the emulator's current position and associated disk changes.
Amiga saves can contain disk files as well as emulator data. Keep the downloaded Rebit save intact when backing it up, and restore it to the matching game. Do not treat an Amiga disk-save bundle as a cartridge .sav file.
See Saves, Screenshots, and Cheats for managing cloud saves and backups.
Troubleshooting
- The game does not boot: check the selected system and try the appropriate Kickstart BIOS.
- It asks for a missing disk: upload the complete disk set and check the playlist filenames.
- A BIOS change has no effect: reopen the game after adding or removing BIOS files.
- Progress is missing: save inside the game, export the in-game save, and wait for confirmation before leaving.
- The game runs slowly: use the Original shader and close other busy tabs. Compatibility varies while Amiga support is in beta.
