Installation

Use Rebit in your browser, install the Android app, or add the web app to your home screen. Your account connects your library and uploaded saves across devices.

Why Install Rebit

Installation gives you a dedicated app icon and more room for the game. You can also keep using app.rebit.cc in a browser without installing anything.

Check Download for the current platform options. The Android app is available on Google Play; the iOS App Store release is still coming soon.

Before You Install

Save and finish any pending uploads on your current device. Sign in with the same Rebit account after installing. Browser-local data, including Amiga BIOS files, may need to be added again in a different browser or app.

Install on iPhone

These steps also apply to iPad:

  1. Open app.rebit.cc in Safari.
  2. Open Safari's Share menu.
  3. Select Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm Add.
  5. Open Rebit from the new icon and sign in.

Install on Android

For the Android app:

  1. Open Download.
  2. Follow the Google Play link.
  3. Install Rebit and sign in.

For a browser installation, open Rebit in Chrome and use the browser's Install app or Add to Home screen option. The wording depends on the browser version. You can also use an Install App prompt shown inside Rebit when available.

Install on Desktop

  1. Open Rebit in a browser that supports installing web apps, such as Chrome or Edge.
  2. Select the install icon in the address bar or the browser's app-install menu.
  3. Open the installed app and sign in.

Use Big Picture for a controller-friendly interface on a monitor or TV.

After Installation

Open Library, select a game, and choose Play Now. Installation does not make every feature available offline: signing in, cloud saves, uploads, discovery, and online multiplayer need a connection.

Keep the Android app up to date through Google Play. Finish and save a running game before applying an update or reloading the app.

If Install Does Not Appear

  • On iPhone or iPad, open Safari's Share menu directly.
  • On Android, use the Google Play link or Chrome's install menu.
  • On desktop, try Chrome or Edge if your browser does not offer app installation.
  • If Rebit is already installed, open its existing icon.

You can continue playing in the browser when installation is unavailable.
