Game Details

Open a game page to play, edit its title and cover, manage saves, view activity and screenshots, or use sharing and download actions.

Open Game Details

Select Library, then choose a game cover. Actions depend on whether the game belongs to you and whether its owner has made the content available.

Play the Game

Select Play Now and wait for the emulator to load. See Playing Games for controls and the in-game menu.

Rename a Game

  1. Select the pencil beside the title of a game you own.
  2. Edit its display name.
  3. Optionally choose new box art in the same editor. Use PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 5 MB.
  4. Save the change, or select Cancel to discard it.

Editing the title or cover does not change the ROM or its compatibility with netplay and trainer profiles.

Manage Saves Without Starting the Game

Select Manage saves in the game page's Options area. Browse, upload, download, or remove saves using the actions available there.

Read the Activity Heatmap

The activity heatmap shows when you played and how much time was recorded. Use Activity to review recent sessions and patterns of play.

View Achievements

Connect RetroAchievements in Settings, then open a supported game's Achievements section to review progress. Recognition depends on the game release and core.

View and Delete Screenshots

Open Screenshots on the game page and select an image for a larger view. Use the gallery's selection controls to choose your own screenshots and delete unwanted ones. Your screenshots are also collected in Profile > Media.

Share a Game

Select Share game under Options to copy the game link, then paste it into a message. A private library can prevent other users from opening the shared content.

An eligible game owned by another user can offer Add to library. See Sharing.

Download the ROM File

Select Download ROM File when available on your own game page. Keep the files needed for disk-based games together when making a backup.

Delete a Game

Select Delete Game and read the confirmation. Deleting a game also removes its related saves, screenshots, and play history. Download anything you want to keep first.
